BMW R1150GS WITH REMUS SLIP ON MUFFLER

Another test showing how good the standard muffler is ( not so good and a little unfair for the Remus people ). The curves below show our std R1150GS ( green ) against the same bike fitted with a Remus slip on muffler ( red ). This left the standard catalytic converter in place, replacing only the round shiny bit on the left hand side. Being fair to the Remus people, it appears that the centre cat converter section is the bogey man in this case. Getting rid of this and then fitting the Remus would no doubt give a good result.

The Remus is oval, with the usual straight through insides and much lighter than the original. It also looks very nice. It was not noticeably louder than the standard muffler though, which was a surprise. Most of the noise must be consumed in the cat section.
